Ohanaeze Salutes Gov Umahi For Ebonyi’s Transformation, Describes Him As The New Igbo Leader

Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide wishes to join Ndigbo and indeed all men and women of goodwill in celebrating the outgoing Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr Dave Nweze Umahi, for the unprecedented transformation of the state during his 8 year tenure.

Indeed, considering the state’s meager resources, Umahi is a “miracle worker”, to have constructed over 13 flyovers, dual carriage roads across the state and most importantly the just opened ultra modern Abakaliki International Airport.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo

Ohanaeze Ndigbo in a statement signed by the Secretary General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, said the apex socio-cultural group totally concurs with Ozoigbondu, Prince Arthur Eze that Umahi is a savior to Ebonyi State. He made the statement last week while Commissioning an 18-span flyover at Abaomege junction Onicha Local Government Area named after him by the present administration in the State.

Prophetically, the Anambra State born business magnate and philanthropist said, “God brought this man as a saviour and he has changed the face of Ebonyi State, I could not recognize Abakaliki again, God gave him the vision, one day Ohanaeze Ndigbo will become the President of this Country.”

We are convinced that Umahi is a God given savior, not just to Ebonyi but to Ndigbo and indeed Nigeria.

In the absence of Ikemba Ojukwu and Dr Alex Ekwueme, Umahi, in his position as Chairman, South East Governors Forum has become a rallying point for Ndigbo.

Furthermore, Umahi is set to be the face of Ndigbo in the incoming Government, based on his loyalty to the President Elect, Senator Bola Tinubu, which made him to forego his Senate Presidency ambition unlike others still fighting the President Elect and the party.

Therefore, Ohaneze Ndigbo based on his unimpeachable achievements and visionary leadership, recognizes Umahi as the new political leader of Ndigbo, in this incoming dispensation.

As such, we urge Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, Senator Orji Uzor-Kalu and all other Igbo politicians, especially those of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, to fall in place behind him, in the greater Igbo interest.
